What will motivate #Hispanic/#Latino voters to participate in the #midterm #elections (or any election)? Well, to start with, #diversity.
It’s about representation. It’s also about both parties reflecting the community that they’re serving. I need to have a connection to the person that I’m going to elect to represent me. So if the candidate is not a member of my community, then there’s a natural disconnect in that you’re representing me, but you’re not — you don’t get me.
